Title: Announcement Regarding TeamSpeak Usage
Post by: SugarD on February 12, 2012, 05:23:26 AM
This is a first and final warning. The server administration on the TeamSpeak server is to be treated just like those who are administrators in the game servers. Should you decide for whatever reason to not follow their rules, you will be punished. There have been numerous complaints of ARFD Volunteer Firefighters and official members abusing the channels by entering them off-duty, misusing them, or not following the server's rules.

From here on out, if I receive a single complaint regarding a member of ARFD that has broken the server rules and find that it is related to their Firefighter/Fire Department-based Medic job, you will be suspended without warning and subject to punishment from the TeamSpeak administration. I will not allow you to break the rules for your own benefit, nor will anyone else.

This warning also applies to the moaning against the administration. If you have a problem with how they work, politely contact the server's management team in order to resolve it peacefully. If it is an issue regarding the job itself in relation to the server, PM me here on the forums and I will attempt to speak with the TeamSpeak server's management team regarding the issue.

Failure to read, acknowledge, and/or follow the warnings laid out in this announcement will result in the same punishment mentioned above. Laziness or neglect are not excuses.

Update:

In regards to this notice, the following change has been made:
QuoteWhen you are online, be on TeamSpeak, ARFD Channel. (Even if you are not playing SA:MP, you can mute your speaker or set AFK status, but when you are needed, Command Staffs will PM or Poke you to come in-game, if you are busy doing IRL/Personal stuffs, you can deny it.)
This was stated before the change in TS server rules regarding Firefighters had happened.

It shall be updated to the following:
QuoteWhen you are online, be on TeamSpeak, ARFD Channel. (If you are not playing SA:MP, you can mute your speaker or set AFK status, but when you are needed, Command Staffs will PM or Poke you to come in-game, if you are busy doing IRL/Personal stuffs, you can deny it. Make sure that if you are not on fire duty, to be in a non-duty channel. Being in the ARFD channel out-game or not on fire duty is against the TeamSpeak server's rules.)

Update:

After speaking with the TeamSpeak server's management, we have come to a conclusion that should benefit both sides regarding FD Medics, (and all other Medics), in the FD channel.
Because of the current TeamSpeak rules, which are to stay in place, Medics on duty, even those who are roleplaying FD Medics, are to use the Emergency Medical Services sub-channel and not the Argonath Fire Department one. For cross-communication purposes, whispers may be set up via the TeamSpeak Client's settings, and in addition to this, DHR.Mike has come up with a downloadable whispers file that you may use to automatically set up keybound whispers between all emergency service channels in the SA:MP sections to ease in the situation.

From now on, FD Medics are to stay in their channel and whispers are to be used to cross-communicate. If you have trouble setting them up or using the whisper file, which may be downloaded via the link in the TeamSpeak Lobby's description, please feel free to contact a member of the TeamSpeak management team, or myself here via PM on ARFD Forums.

Hopefully this new idea can resolve the current confusion and set things back on track towards peaceful roleplays and continuance of following server rules.

Thank you all for your patience throughout this, and I sincerely apologize for any confusion that may have arose as a result.
