On further reflections I do not feel it is appropriate to continue being in SAFD considering my future plans to move away from home for University and further studies. This will dramatically lower my chances of being active in game and/or these forums. In regards to my position as acting for Counsel for the SAFD, I am willing to continue this position if possible but the Commissioner or other Chiefs may decide on that.

I wish to resign effective immediately from the position of Fire Engineer.

How does that have anything to do with this topic?

If you want, I can help you if you are able to recover the law book for it or I could try digging up it myself and codifying it myself lmao.

I would suggest codifying all the fire laws that are applicable in all servers into one set of regulations. It would help especially since the Fire Laws Section is quite expansive and a little bit confronting to the newcomer. As well as with the term "Laws" makes the newcomer think that they must obey by them.

I have decided after consultations with SugarD and Allison to step down to Fire Engineer from Battalion Chief and make Allison Battalion Chief. I hope the change will allow SAFD to get the best out of a new leader and fresh face.

Welcome to the ARFD Forums, if you could start posting duty reports that would be nice.

Your application has been noted.

Please be patient, and continue to reply at least once a week to show you are still interested. We will get back with you on our decision as soon as possible. Thank you!

A report sooner or later would be nice.

You should be able to use water on the extinguisher.
That depends on what is causing it to burn. From the looks of that picture, an accelerant was used to allow the fire to "hover" in that location and burn. Depending on the accelerant, water may or may not be a good idea. (This is especially true in the case of electrical or chemical fires).

Never use water to combat electrical or chemical fires, doing so is a serious risk! We should all know this! :ff:

Baking Soda, restricting oxygen flow to the room is a good start.
